Hi and I'm sorry for your loss. I do hope you find a rooster soon and that you have a great hatch rate from the eggs in your incubator.
A thought: have you tried talking to the neighbor whose dog killed your chickens? He/she should be responsible for keeping the dog in their property and not running around on the loose to kill livestock. The neighbor could also pay for the chickens you lost.

OR, doesn't have to be Trader Joe's. Any health food store or grocery store that carries fertile eggs will do. Giant does here in their organic section. Just buy a dozen, take them home, warm them to room temperature gradually then pop them in the incubator. Some should hatch. Usually they will hatch a production layer of large brown eggs or whatever color the egg you started with was.
Doing this is on my "to do" list.
