New to the chicken world- sick hen-please help

She doesn't seem any worse but also no better and if we can't get her to eat I know she'll go downhill fast. Did give her some penicillin tonight and are hoping for some improvement maybe overnight.

Her comb is getting pale and droopy, but we were able to force feed her a little scrambled egg, cottage cheese, and yogurt. We'll give her some more antibiotics tonight.

Hopefully it will kick in soon. If you had any Predisone I would give her some...but not everyone has it.

Sad to report the chicken didn't make it. We thought there was some sign of improvement yesterday but she was so much weaker this morning and when I got her out to dropper feed her she gave a fianl cluck and that was that. My son will be heartbroken when he comes home from school today and finds out-one of the favorite barn kitties was hit by a car early this morning so it has been a sad day down on the farm.
