At the end of the month I will be an owner to 1 chicken, its a rescue chicken. She is a fighting breed and doesn't get along with other chickens, so I offered to take her. Her coop will be 79.5(L) x 26.5(W) x 51.5(H) and we live in Kansas. We are in the process of fencing in an area where she can roam since the coop area for roaming seems small to me. I am very new to all this and doing as much research as possible, so any advice would be great! Thanks for letting me join!
By the way I'm Angie.

Hi Angie!

My first piece of advice about that little coop (having had one of those before) if you want it to last more than a year:
  • Paint/weatherproof every corner of it- otherwise it will warp, crack, mold, fall apart etc.
  • Add more ventilation
  • Raise it off the ground. Build a 2x6 frame the same size as the run footprint, set the coop on top and attach with flat braces. That will not only make the run stronger, it will hold in more bedding and protect the actual coop from ground exposure.

(This was before I added extra vents)
Good luck with you new chicken!!
