New to this all and feeling over my head

Hubby and I have been trying to figure out if we should build a coop or buy a premade and just modify some. plus I live in Central AZ. We get 110 in the summer and down to around 0-10 in the winter. So figuring out how much to vent, getting a run that covers it all, and when to move them out will need to be figured out soon.

I'm trying to find more info about the Sapphire chicks and determinng their gender, but it's hard. Photos can be posted if wanted.

You can sometimes find coops on Craigslist at a good price. Check out everything....there are a lot of people out there keeping chickens now. If it gets so blistering hot where you are, you may want to even consider putting air conditioning in the coop. I saw an air conditioned coop in Texas. Whatever you decide on, buy a bigger one than you will need. Chicken math will kick in and pretty soon you will have 30 chickens! Best of luck with your new adventure. Welcome to BYC!!
