New Year Block swap

FeyRaine I was very horrified when they started putting fabric softener in the laundry soap. Dreft also make fragrance free

MY daughter and granddaughters that were here for Christmas helped me looked through my blocks, and I told them about my newest quilting find, to use your cell phone set on black and white or a piece of red cellophane to look at your fabrics in the store, so you can see light, medium and dark better. It really works well.

My mil always washes everything my girls take to her house, regardless of whether I've packed it fresh off the clothesline or out of their drawers.
I guess if its not day-glow white and perfumed with 'summer blossom' its not clean.

The red cellophane technique is brilliant, its saved me from some unfortunate over spends. Thanks for the reminder, especially useful if your colour range is unfamiliar...or you're obssessed with a certsin spectrum (whistling and walking away )

Yep! Hands up! I haven't even started yet but have got them cut out, will have to get a move on or that Kat will be chasing me!

Hi, yep, the block I had in mind ive realised is too time consuming for the actual time I have to complete...
although the time wasted oggling quilts online probably doesnt help! Lol
I think I overwhelmed myself with my colour choices...I want to use them All.

Would I be right in saying the general block choices for this quilt are quite traditional pieced blocks. Ive drawn up a few blocks to do, but they seem a little sparse and too modern to sit well with the lovely examples ive seen here.
I really dont want to be the jarring block, so Im leaning towards a geese in the cabin type block now
?..... analysis paralysis ... sigh
I think I discovered I love super complex fiddly blocks a lot, no wonder I get nothing finished these days. I have to say I have fallen completely in love with this palette now though! Glorious colours!

Kassaundra I just saw the most Gorgeous tardis quilt EDIT ( quilts not birds ) of a feather .. dont know how to paste the link on my tablet for you... but its so clever and fun .
