got it thanks

@RustyHen your in Oregon, question, my mother used to talk about her father taking her to see the silver thaw exactly what is that? Have you seen it? something to do with ice. I can't remember and seeing Kassaundra's ice pics and the pics of Niagara falls frozen, well just the ice formed from the spray of the falls it just brought it to mind.
kats. I had forgotten that we called it that, my DH being a retired military weather Observer insists we call it rime frost. It is a very think fog that freezes to everything and turns it to sparkling diamond like crystals. We do have them over here on the dry side occasionly( what we have coats everything in clear ice) but usually more in the coastal inland valleys. They come in the early fall most often.

I guess I should have said she grew up in Portland. Why I thought of it I don't know why she just said it was really beautiful. Funny how things trigger a memory

I got this far and ran out of black thread for the purse, It is the purse I carried in my senior year of High School -mid 1960's- That would be my 12th year of school for non-state siders. It was triangular shape I hope you can tell that.
I don't like how my tree turned out it was fine until iron down must have twisted it to the left a bit. I will be more careful of that next time.

I don't see the "twisting" in the tree. Love the addition of the mountain, simple but adds so much. Yes the purse does look like it was triangle. Does the 9 patch go with the applique blocks?

@RustyHen I love it all wow I hope mine comes out good, still working on my tree and I used to carry big big big bags could have put the whole house in it, you can tell your purse is triangle shape and you can't tell your tree is twisted and love the mountains course I grew up more in the 70's so I need to find a flower power print, lol I think I will keep the same pattern for ease of using a pattern because this tree making my own pattern is a challenge well my printer died I need to go get a new one. I think I will hopefully friday. I love your 9 patch too, great colors, I'm hoping my mystery box will come soon kinda waiting on what the man in virginia is sending before I make my blocks.

I did google silver frost since it was something real and not just what my mother called it and it did call it hoarfrost too.

now on to answering minniechicks questions

no need to make a hanger for it, it will need to be big or small how ever you view it for a cup, or a spoon, and/or snack I think we decided no bigger than 10 inches.

You will have to fill out a customs form select the small form from the Post Office as they may tell you to fill out the large one but trust me it is the small one you need, here is a pic of how you fill it out in case you are not familiar with one.

make sure you mark gift and put the value 20 dollars or less, other wise Majack will have to pay taxes on it. I think that is all the info on the mug rug

now the mystery quilt info:

This should link you to the site so you can sign up, if it doesn't work please let me know.
