I think your baby is a male.. Still too early for em-wah to say but IT'S HUGE! Defined comb. BUT being a Black Jersey Giant, my females have large combs and waddles.

Below is a pic of one of only two BJG's I have. Excellent layers. Hardly miss a day. One of them brooded a small hatch under our sundeck last year.
You egg and Wickedchicken6 both were BJG eggs.. not positive on daddy situation..

So the big comb is throwing me off!
