Thank you for the new pictures! I love silly little projects lol.
You are welcome. We have the BYC birds set up in our barn near a bunch of pullets for sale. Despite a big sign on their habit that says "NOT FOR SALE", every single person who comes to pick out birds ignores the sign and they always pick out Aurora and Ruby! They always go.. "Why not?".. They are eye catchers. One lady offered $40 a pc for them. I asked her to stop asking me and please except my answer of they are not for sale.
DH said to hang up a sign that says.. not for sale, if you ask for them you will get knocked in the head with a broom stick :gig.
We have a classic station wagon in pretty good condition. It is our back up car. We drive it only here and there to keep it fresh. People will drive up and blow their horns and nag us trying to get us to sell it. DH gets hot under the collar when people nag him. He will say.. If I wanted to sell it I would have placed a for sale sign on it! They all say.. well it's just sitting there! lol... We had to park it behind our barn where the horn blowers can't see it. Probably should hide my BYC birdies too!:lau

Ruby and I are the show stoppers! $40 each is crazy for mixes but I guess we're just THAT beautiful lol

Oh no! Don’t let poor Ruby and Aurora get chick-knapped! It is not their fault they are so beautiful ;)

I can’t believe how different all the black and white chickens look. So pretty and such unique feather patterns

I love crosses!!! Never had any except my adorable EE, but I think they're so cute!!!

They are absolutely beautiful! A lot of people around here are purebred snobs though (unless they'll be Olive eggers). Mixed breed chicks here can't be sold for more than $1-2 each unless they're grown out to POL and then you'll be lucky to get $10 for a pullet lol.

Here is a spoiler.. It's taking to long to build it but this was and still the plan. Ducks are slowing me down. They are a lot of work.
We have started building a habitat for the BYC Birds & termite).
They will all be living together in a custom built coop and run for the purpose of breeding them. So the six of my BYC friends whom chose an egg for me to hatch will become Grand parents..hehe :oldYOUR OLD NOW!!:gig
Capricorn obviously will be having his way with your selected pullets! I don't know how you feel about Capricorn jumping on your backs and spreading his demon seed, but more chicks will be coming!
As far as the 2 Rooster situation, I say Banty is a Pullet and Robert says cockerel. Housing 2 Roos in a breeding house adds to much stress and mostly wear & tear on the breeder girls. So I will have to choose the lesser aggressive cockerel as the primary breeder. Although the second would be housed separately as a backup/stand by mater.
This will be interesting to see how this plays out.
No BBQ, no craigslist.. they all get to live a long and happy life here on the farm.
The babies will be sold of course. I maybe crazy, but far from insane.:lau
I'm not sure how I feel about this. :gig (the breeding) :p
:wee
