New Years Eve hatch along! Can anyone join me??

the last chick that i pulled out is coming along, still looks a little weak, i would be to if i went thru all of that

he is fluffing out tho, and getting around the incubator, i'll probably pull him out of there tonight and reunite him with the others

Hi All. I didn't get brave enough to join the thread but I did set Buttons on the 16th. They were shipped eggs and haven't hatched!!! I spent years incubating chickens and thought there wouldn't be any trouble. The incubator kept a steady temp and the humidity was mostly constant. I have forced air and turned them myself. Raised the humidity for lockdown and waited and waited...

I've taken to intervening too. Of the two worst off ones (glued into the shell) One is thriving and one died overnight. I have no guilt about helping them. Good for YOU!!!!

well he seems ok, eating and drinking now, he hasn't really opened up his feet yet, tho he is moving around with the others, and no one is picking on him. I'm just hoping that he'll learn to use his feet overnight or something.

I thought I should wait to day 19 and then do the autopsy. Lot's of disappointment though at my house. This was the only box of shipped eggs that wasn't dented too. I'm sure that at least a third of the Silkie eggs I got are still viable and the eggs from my own flock are doing great.

I think I see pips on a few of my button eggs!

One of my cot quail is defective--it keeps beeping like a bad alarm clock. I keep bopping him on the head to turn him "off".... Just KIDDING!!!! It is funny, though. Everyone else is sleeping and he stands in the middle of them squeeking his head off.

I candled the second batch of 16 cot quail last night-- only 1 clear one! Due 1/10, 15 more beepers!!!
