New Years Eve hatch along! Can anyone join me??

I'll join your hatchalong, I have 5 waiting and hopefully 2 more if the girls decide to lay tonight. I'll be setting mine around noon tomorrow. I've also got 12 chicken eggs due on new years if they're fertile.

I'm in, just set the (24) eggs I received yesterday. Have more coming to set at the end of the week. First time with quail eggs for me. Hoping everyone has a great hatch !!!

Ok, so the talley for what was set.....

120 Jumbo Coturnix
120 Assorted Coturnix (including some Jumbos, but more of the colors and projects I am working on)
78 Button quail
25 African Harlequin
35 Valley Quail
20 Butler Bobwhites

I do know I won't get many chicks out of the bobs and valleys but it is always worth a shot (lighting doesn't trick them as well as the old world quail).

I also set chicken and duck eggs but those don't count for this thread.

dt1958,, I think there should be a show on egg hoarding!!! I will volunteer! NAwww it's mainly an addiction but I can't just watch the eggs just sit there?

I see it now...the discovery channel pulls up with 5 "got junk" trucks and tv cameras...stay tuned for the latest episode of Egg Hoarders Then they come to my house!

Can relate to not just wanting them to sit there...

I am lucky because I have alot of friends and family that are interested in keeping a couple to a few quail so I can hatch out as many as I want lol

Also I recently found out that Bfrancis's sister lives about 15 minutes from me and he has been so kind as to get her addicted to quail, she hasnt gotten any yet because he is giving her some as soon as her pens are done, sooooooooooooooo later in the spring I will have someone locally to give birds to, trade eggs with, trade birds with, and talk quail of course lol, Alex I think that qualifies Bill as an ENABLER too, I met with his sister because she brought some of his eggs to me over the Thanksgiving holiday and she was all excited

he even got her on this site lol.

I would be interested in someones hatch if they have extra!! I belive that the gold rush minners will find gold easier than I will find Pharoah quail .
