Hi, I'm in Brisbane, Australia.
O Relatively new to chickens. Feral dogs got our last 2 about a year ago because I didn't go and shut the coop door in the middle of a nasty thunderstorm. (Guilt ridden for months).
Yesterday we received 3 chickens in a very small aviary (free).
Madly battling the heat and humidity trying to create a run out of recycled materials that my husband has lying around our acreage property so that we can seperate our dogs from the poor chooks. Consequently the poor things have been locked in all day. Not much we can do about it today.
Fingers crossed, by tomorrow they will have relative freedom in their new run and over the next few weeks we are going to turn an old metal garden shed (heaps bigger) into a new house with lots of space for them.

Welcome!
Yep, the heat and humidity can be unbearable sometimes but it sounds like you have great plans for them.

I've decided to pretend the Ashes has been cancelled this year
to have you join the family. Enjoy your time here at BYC!
