Hi all.

I recently bought 3 POL warrens and they seem to be settling in fine apart from, they wont roost on the perches but they will sleep on top of the nestboxes which are lower than the perches. I have tried putting the chooks on the perches but as soon as my back is turnt they are back on top of the nest boxes. They reside in a brick outbuilding not a conventional chicken house.

Is there anything i can do?

Many thanks in advance :-D

Try putting a board or something propped onto the nest box so as to make it like a roof. That way, they will slide off when they try to roost. After sliding off, there is a possibility they'll use the roost that night. If they do, keep the board on the nest box.

Also, how high is your roost. Sometimes heavy breeds have a hard time getting on a roost so they just settle for a lower thing or the ground.
