Newbie 4-H Project! HELP! Batman my roo....

I had a hen last summer who hurt her leg and we could never really figure out exactly what was wrong. She limped and didn't go anywhere unless she needed too. It healed up fine without any help from me.
And good job with 4-H ness. I'm in 4-H too! I'll be showing two lambs this year, and I want to show a chicken too! I also sew something to put in the fair every year with my 4-H club. I'm thinking a white sundress this year. Good luck getting your roo better!

tomdeggeater,
The vet said it wasn't broken that he had a loose tendon. He said that since he puts pressure on it to just let it go and that it probably won't ever be perfectly straight, but it will straighten out some. Batman is doing great even with his handicap. He'll just be my little buddy! So i've decided not to take him to the fair since his leg won't be straight and to just take my silkie Robin.

swedishfish,
I took sewing one year but it wasn't for me. I hope you do great with Sewing and your lambs! I would like to take Lamb but that might have to wait till next year since this year I added ducks and chickens to the agenda. I also took photography the last 3 years but decided to just stick with fall projects (animals for me since our fair is in the fall). This year I'll be taking Breeding Rabbit as usual (6th year in it), Fancy Duck (1st year), and Raising Fancy Poultry (1st year). The great thing about my projects is that when they built the new sheep barn the rabbits and ducks and chickens got moved to the old swine barn which they seperated so that the poultry are on the left side and the rabbits are on the right, so this year i only have to go to one barn when i would've had to go to 2! Yay!

Well, !Shkittles!, That is eggcellent news. The vet didn't prescribe any eggsercise? No physical therapy? Not even toe touches with his beak, eh... hehe
I wonder if they have chicken chiropractors...hmmm...
Best of luck, Tom
