Newbie-Flying by the seats of pants...

I know what you mean. I lost my hen, Ethel, this Saturday. We put her asleep for repeated Sour Crop caused by reproductive issues. The first time she got Sour Crop, I took care of her and didn't think about it much after. The 2nd time, I realized how serious that was.
I'm sorry to hear that. I've got a crazy day tomorrow (my 5 y.o. daughter injured her foot - part of why I missed the signs for Butter cup) and we've got Dr. appointments all morning, but i may circlw back with you about yoir Sour crop/reproductive issues and what you learned...

And do post a thread with her symptoms in the Emergencies/Injuries/etc. thread. You may have a clear idea of what’s wrong, or at least what to tell the vet. for example, a poop sample in a clean container might help the vet immensely. Separate her if you can for the poop sample. If it looks like it’s needed.

ETA: Where are my manners? Welcome to BYC and a bunch of clucks mother hens and proud roosters!

I’m sorry about your daughter! I hope she’s better soon!
Don’t worry! You can come to me anytime, I will be glad to lend you my knowledge.
