Hi, Carole, welcome to BYC. Even on sexed chicks there may be a 10 % error as to gender. Sex links are the only 'guaranteed' chicks as they can be color sexed at hatching.

Yes. I ordered 17 sexed pullets from them this year and I got 100% female.

Also!! Their minimum is 15... I know you only want 8, but... You could always just thin them down at 12-24 weeks? Might make good chicken soup.

Sounds like great chicken math to me lol But, I don't think 15 will fly with my wife.

sex links are often under other names such as, cinnamon queen, golden comet, etc. You can try the buy/sell/trade forums, or your state tread to find local breeders in your area!
