HI, Wow lots more friendly folks than I was expecting. Thanks everyone.

Plots for the coop have come along nicely, I think I have enough "leftover" project stuff that I may only need to buy more wire. Saw a great video on youtube so just need to make it a bit bigger. Hubby is getting excited too Hopefully by the end of April I will have some girls.

my husband decided to try to surprise me with the bantams I wanted. Now we can't find chicks...TSC says they should be in in the next few days. Typical. Raised the in-laws wood pile for an old dog house and some nice possible 2 by 8's so I will be able to make an interesting coop soon.

Thanks for the idea, but TSC got bantam chicks in this morning and my poor working midnights husband got up and drove me to town to get some. We were only going to get teh 6 minimum, but he added 2 more. One he was worried about and one who he thought just looked cool. Neither of us had ever seen a chick take a nap so there was some panic when they just started drooping and falling over before we realized that they were power napping.
