Newbie question

Hi BYC friends .. I have week old chicks and all are supposed to be pullets.. I just saw two look like they were starting a "cockfight" kinda chest bump. Will girls do this ?
Hoping I have all girls :/

This is completely normal, though it is possible that the hatchery messed up and gave you a male. This has happened to me 3 times. Chickens have something called a pecking order, what your chickens are doing is establishing that pecking order. Every flock has one. The chicken who eats first, and is always bossing the others around is on the top, while the timid, submissive ones are on the bottom. Hope this helped!

I got 10 chicks last year, they all end up layers but I saw couple of them spar from time to time when they were young.

Yep. Mine like to chest bump quite a bit, and with one exception, all look very female. My one exception is actually fairly timid, but I am almost sure it's a cockerel.
