newbie - Rooster?

Hi,
This is our first time raising chickens and we've had them for around 4 month now and noticed big changes to our favorite one. It's a Isabel Cuckoo Orpington. Is it a boy?

The reason I asked is because recently my wife has notice that Leia (Orpington) has started calling in the morning and afternoon. Not really a rooster crow, but a loud call. Is it normal for pullets to call. She's close to being 5 month old.
