There is always space for more members on the BYC roost! Do daytime predators just enter your pen and start killing your chickens? If so, I would have the area/run enclosed to solve the problem. No ma'am. I let the out of the pen while I was doing laundry. I know better than to let them out without being with them. It was my fault what happened. I'm miserable over it.
Our pen is 8' chain link with 3' hardware cloth around the bottom and buried 3 foot out. We have a great pen but I know they like getring out and scratching around.
