Hello , my name is Lynette and I started my floc last April . I have 12 black Jersey giants (1 rooster), 6 Isa browns , 6 golden Wyandot, 4 silkies (1 rooster), English bantam rooster and golden seabright bantam and boy am I busy with these guys ! I see them in the morning and tuck them in at night ! I have been a nurse for 32 years and I sell scrub hats on the side! Love planting a garden in summer ! I found BYC by many searches for info on my floc ! I have had 1 silkie go broody and hatch 3 chics in November and have 3 broody girls right now not really liking the broody hens during a Michigan winter!! They break me before I can break them ! So I have 8 chics to start hatching this coming Sunday ! More chickens just what I need !!
