(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I’ve owned chickens for about 10 years now but am just now getting interested in raising different breeds.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

Copper Murans and Cream Crested Legbars
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Having fresh eggs to eat and share and just watching their silly antics.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I’m a runner.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I’m married, almost 36 years now, have three grown sons, and two grandchildren. I live in Northern Louisiana currently but am a California native and lived there the first 40 years of my life. I live on /5 acres with my husband, two dogs, one cat, four Saint Croix Sheep, 14 chickens, and I’m not sure how many Muscovy ducks.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I stumbled upon BYC while searching the benefits of oregano on chickens
