My first pass at it. I build dollhouses, and this is not like a dollhouse!! First a dollhouse usually comes with all of the pieces cut, I have not power tools except a drill, so I had the guys at home depot do it, and when I got home, well the sides were way off!!! So I hand sawed a few replacement pieces with scrap, so one side is short, but I use that gap to sweep the litter out of the coop. That's the side the nest will go on anyway. I have no nest yet, I'd like to build on for the outside but don't know how. I had to add the plastic lattice to keep one determined dog out. The roost is in place and the ramp, and they use it. I painted the floor. There are two front "windows" and a side vent, plus the space between the walls and the roof. i'm having a hard time finding small windows for the front. I have some extra siding from my house that I will put on, because I decided I don't like the paint, and plenty of left over shingles. At some point I'll figure out how to put molding on to give it a more professional look, and find small window boxes.
This is the door that opens so I can get in.
There is wood on three sides, because I'm more worried about my dogs than anything else.
