Newbies!

I agree and usually the females are either brown or white and grey and the ganders white and grey or lavender with white feather patches which are beautiful creatures.
They are I was hoping I'd get a gosling out of my Emden and Toulouse last year but it wasn't mean to be. I could try for a Toulouse/ Buff but the rest of my flock of birds would probably gang up on me and beat the tar out of me if I let any more geese hatch here.

the geese are not nice to other living things.

I had 97 geese

I had over 70 goslings that would survive each year I know the feeling but I would love to see a few buff crosses

I've crossed over 15 breeds of geese but never with buff geese.
My buff Africans are too rare to actually experiment with as I want as much goslings as possible from them

I love the Buff Africans they are so gorgeous, Do you get alot of inquires about goslings from them?

How many geese do you have now?

People come and visit and ask if I sell my Africans or goslings but I'm not selling them till I have atleast 10-15 breeding pairs.
As you know in Ireland Africans are indeed rare so buff Africans can cost a fortune.
So people with pure breed Africans should breed them to make them more common ;)
They are a wonderful breed

Sorry LRH97 for highjacking this thread you made :,)
Hopefully @LRH97 will enjoy reading and add a comment or 2 or 3. lol

My oldest pair (the buffs) are about 13 years old and are my best breeders.
This year was my first actual year of breeding the buffs successfully with 11 buff goslings but unfortunately I was gone for two months so there wasn't much care for them and a few died of sickness and the ones that grew up were all caught by the Fox including my African female who decided to brood in the field :/

Aww that's too bad. Have you actually had your buff since they were goslings?
