If it involves the beak too then I would guess birth defect for whatever reason and unless you want to keep that eye moist, clean or have vet remove it and sew it shut you Might want to think about culling it. Kinda early for that though.

I haven’t seen that type of eye birth defect either. The antibiotic ointment to the eye might be helpful. If the chick has a cross beak, it might benefit from eating wet chick crumbles in a bowl with tall sides adjusted as the chick grows.

Update last night"Popeye"was going crazy and I got him and the blister over his eye was dry and came off. So now you can see his eye but it is swollen and send to hurry him.

I would continue the eye ointment for a few days. Let us know how the chick gets along.
