Newby introduction

I retired five years ago and have have a small flock of either RIR or Doms for eggs for 4 1/2 years; recently, I started raising poults (5 Bourbon Reds and 1 Slate) and am considering raising meat chickens. My intent is to introduce Brahmas into my 20' x 60' garden over the winter. This will remove most, if not all, bugs as well as fertilize. I would harvest them just prior to restarting the main garden in the spring.
