newly hatched chick appears to have no skull cap/skin on back of head, Help what is this??

Think another chick has started pecking him again, balance isn't too good today, but I don't want to take him from his siblings just to have it give up. We will see if there is any improvement tomorrow, hope the pecking stops.. But they are chickens. =/
