That is their feed? They can’t eat pellets till at least 3-4. Weeks old. Is it chick started?

It’s what the farm gave us. Apparently it’s starter food. I hope it’s ok! Only using what was provided for us. The farm says it’s what they used. I’m glad I asked you all now!

You can even add some nice warm water and a teaspoon of ACV and make a warm mash for them my ducklings love it.

Great idea! I’ve just been mashing it up with a pestle and mortar and have added some room temp water. Warm water sounds better.

No one had said anything about ACV before. Where would I get that? Also I was told they’d be ok for 48 hours without food. It’s been less than that - 36 but still. Hope I’ve not been starving them. They love the food!

It's actually Active Cider Vinegar(the kind with the mother)...and is not necessary.
You could just soak the pellets in water, maybe....I've never had ducks.

Mashing the pellets and mixing with water is fine for now, but I would pick them up some flock raiser crumbles that are more their size. I don't do pellets until at least 6weeks. It's just the size so if you are mashing them it should be fine. Make sure they have plenty of water. Baby ducks eat and drink constantly because they grow so fast. You will be able to see difference in size day to day.

Also, That's not starter food. Starter food is the size of coarse bread crumbs.

That's what I use for chicks...and all the chickens.
Does FR give ducklings enough niacin?

Yes it has the right amount of Niacin for water fowl. The reason I even mentioned ACV in the warm water then added to the feed is because wet food sitting in a very warm brooder can go bad over the day so adding a small Amt of ACV can hinder mold.

Another question- Dot, the youngest one has been a bit funny on one of her legs and we thought maybe it was cause or the incubator but we noticed it in the brooder too. We thought also it was because she / he was young and just wobbly on its feet but I looked at her today and she can’t walk on one of her feet. What does this mean for him/her? Can this change?
