newly hatched ducks, super sticky?

My gosliing wasn't sticky but I noticed her eye was like stuck open so I didn't wipe, but dropped a drop of water with a Qtip onto her eye (sort of like the eye droppers) and then she could blink...I onoly had to do it twice, but the incubator was getting a high temp and that could have been why..after I got her in her brooder she was fine..

I just know about the eye thing, I'd say drop a few drops of water (not wiping) onto her eyes.
