You're thinking of the guys like Bill O'Reilly. I like the morning new on Fox, with Bill (so cute!) and Megan, they often have interesting people from all sides of the issues.

I also read The Economist and Reason magazines.

News is about all that is ever on in this house, 24/7. Well unless we are watching a movie. DH and I watch Fox news, and never miss watching Bill, sometimes twice a day....sometimes just for a laugh, but really we like watching his display of total arrogance. lol
And I watch local new every morning while getting the family out the door.

* FOX BALANCED!! Lol! Only in the same universe where Supertankers = Kayaks. It's tough to find real balance anywhere, IMO. Here in sunny South Florida, I think it's really hard to find even moderately mediocre news. Usually, Face/Bod beat Brains (much like our elections since the advent of television) and serious journalists need not apply. One station in particular has a vast majority of "news anchors" are predominately dressed for their "asset appeal" and beyond Violent Sensationalism, Local Political Scandal (which we seem to abound in) and so-called "Entertainment" news they tend to glaze over.

I wouldn't call myself a junkie, but it's FOX all the way for us.

Word!!

I listen to/read NPR, BBC news, Slate, and sometimes Reuters. If there's one thing I can't stand (actually, there's lots of things), it's a soundbite. Give me the whole megilla so I understand the context of what's being reported.

Hear, hear. Nothing turns me off of a political candidate than rapid-fire, short, manufactured sound-bite answers. We've been awash in those in recent years, and it's usually indicated that there isn't much substance behind the flippant responses.
