Awwww...vacations! And you did such a wonderful job describing it, painting a picture of all the fun and adventure, that I believe I'll just live vicariously through your experience and won't feel so bad about not being able to take one myself this year.

Laugh all you want! My story was meant to make the reader smile. I was laughing when I finally arrived and told the in laws how I used an oven mitt to remove the lug nuts while changing the tire. I had no idea the metal go so hot! The hubby was trying to get the spare tire out of the back of the truck. Dang thing slipped and went rolling down the road with me chasing it while wearing the oven mitt! Waving it like the tire was going actually stop.

We plan to go 'camping' again some time in October. Near Pilot Mountain, NC. Be sure to vacate the area at that time. The Knob will most likely come crashing down on our camper. Earthquakes will follow along with forest fires to complete the destruction. Not to worry. I'll have my oven mitt.
