Its very stressful looking after something so small and vulnerable who can't tell you what they are feeling - you can only do your best with what you know and the resources you have.

Quick little update to add!

Regarding the swelling, we're going to loosen and retape the splint- praying that it goes okay.
With Moe reacting this badly on the first day of having a splint, I'm not sure that splinting is an option. She's very happy atm- chirping and preening around, which makes me happy, but makes times and choices like these all the much harder.
Any advice, any ideas on what I can do? Maybe look into surgery? I feel like nothing's getting done, and I'm exhausted.

Yes!! I've seen a few here and there online but I don't think I'm educated enough about them to know what they exactly do..? I'll just have to do a little research. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it!!

When we did it, we made one out of microcloth with some hooks and a pair of scissors - others on here have done things with yoghurt pots !
