Thank you. We’re not out of the woods. It’s tinder dry and LOTS of understory to fuel a fire. Lord willing there won’t be anyone stupid enough to start one on purpose, and any weather we do get leaves the thunderstorms out of the equation.

I hurt my hip in early summer dragging around a roll of fencing that was a good deal too heavy for me. Dummy. It's better—comes and goes. I'm beginning to think I might not have done permanent damage after all.

Cream cheese frosting is AMAZING. Also super great on pumpkin cake/bars.

The *only* kind of frosting worth eating, IMO.

I honestly haven’t eaten it very much at all, maybe like once or twice?, so I’m not sure.

It's delicious. Awfully sweet, though. A little goes a long way.

Tell your brother if he’s still wanting ‘San Francisco’ tangy style sourdough, use sour salt. About a fat teaspoon per two standard loafs. (One of my recipes makes two loafs)

Also tell him he owes you if he’s been looking for the secret. Took me ten years to finally figure it out.

What is sour salt?
