From what I've read, fresh goat milk tastes the same or better than cow milk but has a higher butter fat so it's richer and creamier - which I love. I drink whole milk and can't imagine why people drink 2% or 1% like my daughter does. I've told her, why don't you just buy a pint of milk and add it to a gallon of water?
Also, based on what I've read, fresh goat milk doesn't taste anything like canned goat milk which is, by most people's taste, terrible.
