Nipple leaking help!

i moved the bucked down about 2 feet, just high enough to be able to have it gravity feed, still have the same leaking nipple issue. They are not hard to push up either, very easy to push.

ok it may be under pressured than also try having water in the pipe and blowing into it if possible if thats not it its definatly defective.

I bought my chicken nipples from a BYC member, Neil Grassbaugh. I use the push in ones with the rubber gasket for my 5 gallon bucket waterer. They work great with no leaks! Here's his email:

If it was sold as a gravity feed nipple, it's probably defective. See if you can check the ball bearing like Makomd suggested.

I bought mine from farmtek...shipping is high, but I've had no problems at all.

ok so if they are leaking through the nip then you might have something in there not letting it close as it should or its just the low quality version you have.. i bought mine from www.qcsupply.com and like them. about same price as farmtek but nowhere near the high shipping cost

i did however buy a few off ebay too but i figured for the price i would try them and when looking at nipples on ebay you can definatly tell that there is higher and lower quality ones i got these

if you can see them they can be disassembled for periodic (6 mo?) cleaning

so far they have been fine

TIP: buy about twice as many as you think youll use so you will have xtra for replacements or upgrades or expansions .... i mean hell ..they arnt that expensive anyway
