NJ Minimum purchase law

I've never hear of such a law

I just know that when I bought chicks at the fair a few years ago, I had to get 6. I guess it is suposed to stop people from buying them for kids at Easter and dying them, etc. NJ regulates everything. But I just asked DH and he said they didn't say anthing about a minimum when he picked up these peeps at TSC so who knows. I guess I will just not worry about it. Thanks for the replies :)

That law if for businesses. You are fine to sell one or more out of your own home.

The law applies to chicks until they are feathered.

Hope this helps.

In NH the law is 12 minimum. But the store where I bought mine allowed me to purchase 6, since that's all they had left of the breed I wanted. I believe the law was enacted to protect chicks from being abused and exploited as Easter decorations.
