In another strange turn of events (like life isn't full of those), as most of you know, that have been following this thread, Buckbeak, my silkie hen, who wasn't showing signs of ever being broody, has now gone broody...lol
Go figure, I'm 2 hours shy of day ten in my boob hatchery
She has been sitting as if she is in some type of coma since yesterday morning and has one egg under as of right now.
We have had to set up her own little condo in our living room (spoiled little brat) and I made her this way, I am the only one to thank lol , it has come down to feeding her via spoon, because I am now very worried that she is not eating enough, even though I know she is...you should have seen her devour her usual yogurt, cream cheese and oatmeal breakfast....silkie royalty
As if she wasn't lazy enough already....
So here is my dilemma, number one, is it normal for a silkie to lay there like a strung out junkie, I mean she's sweating, dozing off and letting me do everything? lol, Number two, should I give her the boob eggs now... or continue the experiment and give them to her when they go into lockdown?
Oh yeah...forgot to tell you, she went into some type of crazed silkie pecking spree a little while ago....ouch, it only hurts for a second, but how it can strike so much fear into a full grown adult is amazing...
