No Chickens in Charlotte, NC

I'm moving to Charlotte from Lakeland, Florida in May. We have 4 chickens here and plan to raise them there as well. I'm supposing it is legal in town?
HI there, and welcome to BYC! You might want to call the local town hall in and ask if you can keep chickens and how many. You can also check out this link here on BYC on Chicken Laws and see if the area you are going to has any info on it....

You can also check the state thread to see what others in the area are saying about the laws...

Well, we're all set up, coup, extended run and adding 6 little ones to our "flocklet" of 2 three year olds!
Enjoying Charlotte and would love to connect with others to learn the area and more on these fascinating birds!

Hey Conniellutter, just started our own little flock in Charlotte NC. Feeling just like a new daddy right now.

I know...they are so fun to get to know!
We are just east of the city, experiencing owls and hawks stalking our little ones! We lost one of our original ladies to a hawk last fall, so we put in a covered extended run. Really has been a "lifesaver!"
