No clue what happened lots of feathers

So I recently got home from school and my mom told me that I need to go check on my brown chicken. She saw them come out of the woods and saw that it was missing some feathers so I checked on it and it is almost bald and the same with one of my white schikens I have no clue what’s wrong they have been fine in the woods before and they don’t go in deep and you can see them and I have no clue what’s wrong is their something they could have eaten? Could they be sick? Please help if you can

How old are they? If they are over 1 year old they could be molting.

I can't tell on the light brahma, but the tan and white one is for sure molting. You can see her pin feathers coming in.
