no crow collars

What are your thoughts on no crow collars? Do they work? Are they humane? Got 2 pet silkies really like them one started to crow. would prefer to keep them. These will be my only 2 chickens. They have acclimated to their area and I am rather attached. They are about 3 1/2 months old not real loud. only crow in morning will this change as they get older.Think only one is crowing not sure yet.

I'd like to hear some input from anybody who has used these collars too! Good or not so good, it doesn't matter. I have 4 silkie roos in with my girls, out of which 1 crows in the morning, 1 crows for alert status and 1 crows at all hours, day or night. The last 1 hardly ever crows. He can't get a word in edgewise. Thank goodness for him!!!

They look humane to me. I googled "No Crow Collars" and found the facebook page. The collars have good reviews!

Thank you for your response. I think they look humane too, but my roo may feel differently about it...lol !!! I guess I'll just have to buy one and try it out. My main question now is whether to leave it on all day or just put it on at night? All my chickens are really friendly, but once they figure out that when nightfall comes around, so does the 'collar', they may not stay that way and I really don't want to ruin their trust in me, so...IDK...I'm obviously still on the fence about this, but thanks for trying to help !!!

I ordered one form My Pet Chicken. I have a bantam that is not even 2 months old and started crowing. Until I can rehome I wanted to try the collar. I asked them what size I should order and they never replied so I ordered extra small which turned out to be tiny! I had to return it for a bigger size. I will keep you posted on how it works.

Now that's just what I needed to hear !!! Thanks everyone for your comments. To NHN, please, please keep me updated on your collar trial. I'm very invested in my roos and therefore extremely interested in the results you get. Also, what size did you end up ordering? I have silkies and was wondering about what size to get too.

I ordered mine last night. I like my little silkie rooster he is almost 4 months old and has developed quite a voice in the last few days. Hope to see results. I like the crows and only have 2 silkies hope to keep both.

Lol !!! I'm still amazed every time I hear mine crow, that something so little can sound so BIG! Let me know when you get the collar and how it works for you.
