I just lost my rooster today. I have the exact same story as the person who started this thread, and so many others here as well. It IS the collar - it's not negligence. I work from home and I check on my chickens probably 5 or more times per day. I so wish I had known. I did research the collar and saw so many 'good' stories, but I didn't use the right search terms. After I watched my rooster die this morning while I stood helpless, I came in and searched for "no crow collar death" and found this thread. I'm so so sorry for everyone's losses. I'll never use this or any other collar like this again and I really don't recommend it. Maybe it works well for some, but the risk is just too high. I agree with you Tonya, that it can seem like all is well, but then tragedy. Thanks everyone for posting. I may post elsewhere also to raise more awareness.
