more pics. I think i have a rooster on my hands. 1 year old. It never looked different to me until now.

This thread is so confusing because there are so many different chickens posted on it.

OP's bird is a hen.

Yes.

A chicken that does not lay eggs will have a small, puckered vent. It could be a chick, a male of any age, or a hen that is molting or broody or otherwise not laying. So this tells not-laying, but does not tell gender.

A chicken that lays eggs will have a larger vent, that looks rather moist, and looks like it could stretch large enough for an egg to come through. A chicken who lays eggs MUST be a hen.
