I am allowed to keep roosters but my mom wont let me. "SHE" (the chicken) acts so much like a hen. She squats when i pet her, lays down, flops on my lap, and she acts just like my other hens. You'd think a rooster would act.. Well.. Like a rooster, and not a hen... Is it possible she really is a SHE and just looks like a he?

"she" is not crowing. She is bigger than most. I just noticed that her crown is bigger. is this normal for a hen?The one on the left (double shot) is the normal size of all my other girls.

Cockerels are often the most friendly compared to pullet chicks. When hormones kick in that will likely change. No amount of praying will change his gender :/

In my experience, there’s as many friendly roosters as there are friendly hens.

No, really. That bird will never lay an egg. It has male comb, patterning, and telltale saddle feathers.

Roosters can be just as cuddly as hens. More, even. It depends on the bird. My hens hate me, and I’ve cuddled them their whole lives. My friend’s rooster will sit on their lap for hours.

That's what Millie does. She sits (or he) sits on my lap for sooooo long. She sleeps in my arms, on my lap, she loves me and i love her. Or him..
