No Eating the Dog!

I've talked with our daughter about: ...some animals are for eating and others are not.... Now, she just turned 3...

We've talked about how the chickens we have now are for pets and giving us eggs and other chickens are for eating. Same with the quail.
We're going to get some CornishX this Spring and they will live with us for 6-8 weeks...so getting her used to the idea.....
I thought things were going well....

We got a new dog last Sunday - 7 yr. old Golden Retriever - he's AWESOME! - I asked her Mon. AM if she liked our new dog.....she said'..oh yes - let's keep him and not eat him!...'

Ya...we'll be talking a bit more......
