We are having a hard time. every day is preparing for the first eggs. Now I researched about the right condition's for first eggs in the summer. The condditions of elements. 80 every day no signs of eggs soon. All of chickens age and breeds listed. 2 RiR 20 weeks. 3 EE 21 weeks. Does any body have any thing say about this

i know how you feel it seems like we had our pullets forever before they started laying, and we were twinkling our toes and twiddling our thumbs the whole time, and then one day we got 1 egg from all 4 chickens, and i was beside myself. im no expert but hang in there i feel for you, and boy them eggs are worth the wait, i picked up the raw yolk with a fork it was so rich.

Emron's chicken's :

But I wonder what is the age range for eggs to come

just looked it up says 4-6 months so you could have another month of sitting on the edge of your seat

From my flock of 7 pullets - I got the first egg on Monday - 22 weeks and 6 days. The other six are now 23 weeks old, and still no eggs from them. Different breeds - miserably hot weather. It'll happen sooner or later.

have your pullets started showing any laying tendencies? scratching around in the nest box? Squatting? Do they all have very red combs? Sometimes it takes a while- my first flock of BRs didn't start laying until around 25 weeks I believe. My current flock only two girls are laying- my RSL and my BA, the sex link was first- she was about 21 weeks when she started, and the australorp was around 23 weeks. My welsummer, cuckoo maran, and blue cochin are all still not laying. (all the girls are pretty much the same age give or take a week or two)

Be patient, you will get eggs soon!

My hens began laying at anywhere between 24 - 44 weeks. I know it's hard to be patient, but the eggs WILL come

(and they will be very worth it when they do!)
