To put a damper on some replies......Pasty Butt is caused from Chicks getting cold....Not too warm....

Access the temp and keep butts clean....If the temp is good and no drafts on the Chicks it will clear up....Vaseline on their butts helps....

I have put vaseline on them butts, ( xD) All clean now!

Almost all of my chicks pasty-butts have been cleaned up now. After late nights of rump-washing, it is gone! Although the Silkies still have a bit.
I have a lost a total of 5 chicks. All except one were Silkies.

I found out that the protein in their feed was too low, so I switched, they are doing much better!
