I guess the county workers probably never heard of "Call before you dig.". It's plastered on all the utility company vehicles around here, but must only apply to individuals, not gov't workers.

The only thing I can say on their side is that these lines were put in over 20 years ago and they done much differently now. We were due for an upgrade, maybe this will exacerbate it?

My phone rang about 15 minutes ago and gave me heart attack! It was the phone company telling me I had service again, it's a little shaky, but hopefully the patching will last until the main line is replaced.
