No light, no heat, 3 hens, 3 eggs a day! What gives??

I have one hen a year and a half old, and one that was born in June, and four that were born in August. I've never gotten more than three eggs in a day until recently and never two days in a row. The day before yesterday I got four and within another day I got four more. The youngest girls have just started laying over the last three weeks...and I guess they are all laying now.

I don't have lights in the coop and laying was really sporadic during the short days, and cold weather. One or two once in awhile but only two were laying. With the nicer weather we had lately they have turned into little laying machines. I'm so proud of them.

My ameraucana lays an egg a day, in winter. no lights, no heaters, and the coop is right in the windiest part of our yard. Maybe chickens just like making us humans confused.....
