No Love 4 Cali?

My sister used to live in an older part of Orange right off of Tustin. The area is called Orange-Olive, and she lived in this home that was built in the early 1900s. I don't think it had a bathroom originally because the inside of their bathroom walls were stuccoed, as if that part of the house had been outside at one time.

I live right near the OC Fairgrounds.

That wouldn't be Marc, would it? I met him because I knew Mary - before she abandoned us and moved to Washington. At that time, Marc had something like 15 or 18 birds, of mixed varieties, and it was Mary who was raising the Seramas.

No, I won't be showing, but I will definitely be attending. My three girls are hatchery girls, and are now 2 years old. One of my girls is a pretty nice looking RIR, considering. The avian vet that I took her to said she was one of the nicest looking RIRs he'd seen in a long while. But, these are very much pets, so I doubt that I'll be showing them.

Anyway, the fair runs July 11 - Aug. 3, and is closed on Mondays. If you decide to show, let us all know. A couple of years ago we had a group of BYC folks meet up there during the poultry judging.

ok will be there(just gotta get a ride, or mybe i will have my liscence by then, lol)it will only be my 2nd time showing and there hopfully wont be trillions of birds there so i have a chance at winning, lol. yea we could do a lil BYC meet up. That would be fun!

JK. Marc is a good guy. Does he still have that cute coop that he purchased off of Craig's List?

LOL he sure does. He moved it to the side of his house now. Come to think of it He has a few of seramas out of my lines, lol Alot of people do actually, lol Do you know Teressa lynn(sp?) she is also another serama breeder in like ventua county or somthing. She is on the CA chickens group and her name is Serama momma, lol

I've not been to many (count that as none other than the OC Fair) poultry shows, but I'm told that the OC Fair is a rather small show. If your birds look pretty decent and follow standards, they should do well. Last year, I was surprised at how many molting birds were in the show!
