No more eggs for our neighbors

I had some horrible neighbors who neglected their dogs. As a result, they barked all day long right outside my window. Because of a disability, I was stuck at home all day everyday:he. It was a nightmare, and I will never go through that again.

My advice is to try and be civil, but people who neglect their dogs are often not the nicest. If it's ruining your quality of life, do whatever you have to to get some peace. Hopefully, a few calls to the police will help take care of your problem. I don't know why people are so thoughtless. Where we live now, it's not a problem. But, if a rooster of mine was disturbing my neighbors, all of whom have small children, it would be bye-bye rooster. Life is hard enough, and your home should be a sanctuary.

Some poor dog in my old neighborhood barked constantly. There is no
excuse for that. The dog ended up dead, his skull bashed in by a
baseball bat. Animal control was called several times by multiple
neighbors. Nothing was ever done. I feel a little sorry for the dog but
not the owner.

Yeah, the owners know that the dogs bark at lot. They've even said, "those dogs bark at US".

Most of the time they're pretty good about shutting the darn dogs up but I think they were away for the day. They'd left the back porch open and the dogs would come out to bark at the world every few minutes for a few minutes. Sheesh! It was non-stop all day!!!

I used to give my neighbor's dog a rolled up old newspaper at night and it kept itself busy. The howling and barking was because it was lonely because she sure didn't pay it any attention. She didn't like picking up paper shreds every morning either and eventually sold the dog to someone else.

I agree with this!! Our neighbor's dog barks all day long because she wants either food, attention, or water. On the few occassions they give her these things, she's quiet all day! Poor thing never gets time off her chain.

For a barking dog a good shock collar will help them out a lot. It's a lot better than shooting them.... It's not the dogs fault, better yet you should put the shock callar on your neighbor and everytime their dog barks shock them!

It's unfourtanate because a lot of chained barking dogs are mis-treated. A walk a day and a little bit of human contact will eliminate the barking.

But anyone with a Pyrenees understand the barking.... My female pyrenees is quiet all day and when sundown hits....

She goes bonkers, but that's what I got her for even though she drives me nuts during the winter... she still is number one. I think my Girlfriend is a bit jealous....

No kidding!

Dogs are not LAWN ORNAMENTS!

If you are gone all day...DO NOT GET A DOG!

Getting a second dog will just mean 2 BORED LONELY DOGS!

They are pack animals and want to be with their leader....YOU!

Some of the nicest, most well-behaved dogs I ever met were raised by a graphic designer that worked out of her home. They had supervision, contact and attention all day. They love people, don't jump on you (unless you tell them to), and actually follow commands. They only bark when something is WRONG...not just because a bird flew by the window or the wind blew.
