No More Eggs

This thread is meant to be for talking about why his/her chickens aren't laying, not talking about layer feed.

Proper or improper feed can have alot to do with whether hens are laying or not.

That is one and the same topic, what they eat directly affects how they lay.
I just lost a few hens because of low calcium grower , they didn't eat the oyster shells .

Layer is the only option with layers if you want to replenish the calcium it takes to lay you eggs

Indeed it does.
But layer feed is not the only option.
Lack of calcium will not likely kill a bird, if that's what you mean by 'lost'.
Sometimes you have to 'fool' them into using/eating the OS at first,
I sprinkle a few pieces on top of the feed for a few days, then they catch on.

Oh no! I don't. Will they be ok?

Neither do I; no problem with egg production or soft shells. My guess is that the sudden temp changes have the hens' cycle messed up. It happens the other way sometimes, also; it should straighten itself out, if it hasn't already.
